Groningen has the best shopping in the Netherlands

Last month, the shopping street Zwanestraat/Kromme Elleboog was awarded the title of ‘Leukste winkelstraat van Nederland 2016’, the best shopping street in the Netherlands 2016. Zwanestraat took first place over Nieuwe Oosterstraat in Leeuwarden by 100’s of votes.

The shopping street is a pure example of the unique charm of Groningen, with its boutique shops and restaurants.

In addition to the street being awarded, three shops in Groningen were also included in the top 10 list for the whole of the Netherlands.
