Relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions

On Monday 11 May, certain COVID-19 restrictions began to be relaxed at the local or neighborhood level in the Netherlands. These restrictions will only stay relaxed if the virus remains under control. If the circumstances so warrant, any decision to relax measures can and must be reversed.

Therefore, the following measures are still in force during the relaxation of restrictions:

  • Maintain a distance of 1.5 meters from others
  • Avoid busy places
  • Work at home if possible
  • Wash your hands often
  • If you or your housemates have cold symptoms, stay home

To show what can be done and when, the IWCN intern Alexis Veenendaal has translated and recreated the following infographic in English from this government site https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/documenten/publicaties/2020/05/06/factsheet-maatregelen-corona in Dutch.

The full description in English of the measures can be found here https://www.government.nl/latest/news/2020/05/06/avoid-busy-places-and-stay-1.5-metres-away-from-others.

And, as always, through the IWCN website https://iwcn.nl/, we try to keep you updated with all the COVID-19 Coronavirus information in English.

Stay safe and healthy!
