Coronavirus Measures Update

Yesterday evening, during a national press conference, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, announced an extension of the Coronavirus measures currently in place. These measures will now be in force through 28 April 2020, an extension of an additional 3 weeks past the former date of 6 April 2020.

What does this mean for all of us? Well, it means that we need to continue to stay at home and work from home, if possible; maintain social distancing of at least 1.5 m from other people outside our households if we do need to venture out; do not gathering in groups of more than 2 people not from the same household; and of course, to wash our hands frequently and observe the other recommendations from the RIVM.

Luckily, our Connect and IWCN team are working hard to support you during this stressful time. The Events Coordinators are organizing online events to maintain our connections with each other and suggesting parks and other nature areas to visit when the walls start to close in. The IWCN staff are available via online chat from the IWCN website, and of course, we can be reached by telephone and email. We update the information on our website frequently and The Northern Times brings you daily news about the crisis and other relevant information as well.
